Countrywide Falconry - The Team
I have had a life long interest in birds of prey, only when I moved from London 25 years ago, was I able to fulfil my dream and own a bird of prey. My first bird was a Barn Owl called Willow, given to me by a Barn owl rescue group. I then obtained various birds of prey, at the same time learning everything I could about Falconry and bird of prey keeping. It soon became apparent that my skill as a falconer was in demand, I was asked to display my birds and give lectures. I now run hawk walks and insight days for novices, and for those who wish to own a bird of prey I give falconry courses in all aspects of falconry.
Jeff has a passion for all wildlife he has his own birds, which include Harris's and Falcons. He has been flying and training birds of prey for 15 years, giving up a successful career in the building industry to become a full time falconer three years ago.
Billie loves the Owls, especially the Eagle owls, she looks forward every year to the breeding season when she can hand rear the owl chicks and man the young Harris hawks. Billie flies her own Harris called Quinne and her Barn owl called Willow.
Nicky became interested in birds of prey after visiting our establishment, she eagerly asked if she could help on a voluntary basis. It was obvious from the start that she took to the job as a duck to water learning how to handle and train the birds and also to make falconry equipment. She now works part time, and hopefully in the near future she will become a full time member of the team. We all look forward to seeing you soon. Best Regards, PS.
