About Countrywide Falconry...

Our Offices

For over 15 years, we have worked closely with falcons, hawks, owls and other birds of prey to educate and highlight these wonderful and elegant creatures.

Countrywide Falconry has carried out displays and corporate events at venues throughout the UK including:

Castle Ashby, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Blake Hall, Knebworth and Detling.

We have undertaken displays for the British red Cross and other charities and we have been the long term falconers for Oakleigh fairs one of Britain's largest craft shows.

We have also undertaken displays in Majorca.

Our birds are used for educational purposes and for film and television work.

We have undertaken various film work for ITV which included the "Beware Series of Documentaries", "Worst Witch", National Geographic and the stage play "Oliver" where Ghost the Barn Owl was Fagin's Owl.

My birds have been used as part of the national curriculum and other educational purposes, including art and biology classes in various schools:

Lancing Collage, Sussex
Tunbridge Grammar School
Eltham Collage
Bromley Buzz
Whitgift school, Croydon

Countrywide Falconry is not run as a visitor centre but offers individual tuition in a more intimate environment.

Our three leading falconers (click here to read their profiles) have more than 45 years combined experience as Falconers and bird of prey keepers, and delight in passing on some of their knowledge to enthusiast members of the public who wish to learn more about these beautiful birds.

Countrywide Falconry is located at Mace Farm, Cudham in Kent. Get directions

The farm was part of the Holwood Estate which was owned by Pitt The Younger and Lord Derby.

At that time it was used as a hunting estate and was stocked with various game including deer which, if you are lucky, can still be seen today.

The Estate of Holwood is surrounded by Iron Age defenses and it is also rich in Roman remains including Keston Roman Tombs and Caesars Camp.

With the Green Belt around London being swallowed up by development, we are very fortunate to have access to Holwood and Petley Farms.

These farms extend to about 450 acres of arable and grazing land for the large dairy herd which has existed at Holwood since 1941.
